Gordon Swanson (aka Baron Von Fancypots) is a ceramic artist at the Clay Center of St. Pete. He has worked with ceramics since the 1980s, and in recent years, he has explored combining ceramics with metal to create sculptures. This different approach represents a departure from traditional wheel-thrown pottery, signaling an exciting evolution in his artistic journey, creating mixed-media sculptures. He gravitates toward science-based themes, such as "In The Cloud Chamber," "The Bacteriophage," and "The Particle Wave."
